A LEGACY OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE YOUTH

This Scholarship Award was established in memory of Henry and Rosa Jones, who were instrumental in the ministries and education at Second Evergreen Baptist Church and the South Alexandria community for more than fifty years (1940's-1990's). Deacon Henry Jones, a strategic thinker & self-taught mathematician, served as Second Evergreen’s church treasurer and was instrumental in church expansions and activities to support the youth. Bro. Henry and Sis. Rosa Jones prioritized devoting their personal resources and time to Second Evergreen Baptist Church and instilled the same principles while raising their daughter, Nora Lee. This family history of dedicated service has now allowed their legacy to carry on through their youngest grandson, Lee!
